Programs have included chess, FPS, Mad Science, art, theater and after school tutoring. School background Cottonwood Elementary is located in the east-central area of Granite School District. It was built in 1959. Most students live within 1.5 miles and are able to walk to school. Enrollment Cottonwood Elementary School serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Computers and technology The school has one computer lab using PC equipment and one wireless PC lab for classroom use on a checkout basis. Projectors and sound systems were recently installed in each classroom to enhance technology usage. Cottonwood has an active Technology Committee which is looking toward expanding resources and opportunities for the school's students and teachers.
