Call for exact days. School motto "Cottonwood Elementary, the Right Key to Utah’s Future" Extracurricular programs Various extra curricular programs are offered from year to year. Programs have included chess, FPS, Mad Science, art, theater and after school tutoring. School background Cottonwood Elementary is located in the east-central area of Granite School District. It was built in 1959. Most students live within 1.5 miles and are able to walk to school. Enrollment Cottonwood Elementary School serves approximately 550 students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Computers and Technology The school has one computer lab using IBM/PC equipment. In addition, all classrooms have networked computers. Our building has Internet access. Cottonwood has an active Technology Committee which is looking toward expanding resources and opportunities for the school's students and teachers. Two teachers have mini-labs in their classrooms. Digital cameras, media projectors, and other hardware and software are used regularly in the school. Student promotion Most of the students promoted from this school attend Olympus Junior High and Olympus High School.
