School background Bennion Junior High is located in the southwest part of Granite District and in about the middle of the Salt Lake Valley. The school opened in 1980. The 1,000 student represent a variety of cultures. Enrollment Bennion serves approximately 1,000 students. Our ethnic breakdown is: Caucasian - 73.7% Asian - 3% Native American - 0% Hispanic - 17% Pacific Islander - 5% African American - 2% Computers and technology Bennion has a number of computers throughout the building that are also available for teacher and student use. Bennion Jr. High has five computer labs. Students have access to computers for research in the media center. Student promotion Most students advance to Taylorsville High School, and some go to Cottonwood High School.
