Extracurricular programs Hunter High, the newest high school in Granite District, has a wide variety of extracurricular programs and clubs available to the student population. We have highly competitive athletic, music and debate programs. Student government is a vital part of Hunter High School. |
School background Hunter High School is a large high school serving grades 10-12 located on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. Hunter High opened in Granite School District in 1990. The boundaries run approximately from 3500 to 4700 South and 4400 to 6200 West. Hunter serves a high minority population, a large student body, and draws top students from across the western valley with the addition of the International Baccalaureate program which began in 2000.

Computers and technology Hunter High has developed a school-side technology program. 11 computer labs support our business, math, science, English, technology, career, and social studies department. In addition, we have been awarded 15 mini-labs, which provide individual teachers with 6 laptop computers for use in their classrooms. All students at Hunter have access to various digital databases. Student grades and attendance are current and available to students and parents through the Internet.
