The school has 26 classrooms and 1 relocatable classroom. The school boundaries are Redwood Road (1700 West), 4700 South and the I-215 Belt Route west from Redwood Road to 4700 South. Students living on the south side of 5400 South are bused. All others walk to school. Enrollment Vista Elementary serves 550 students from kindergarten through sixth grade. Additionally, there are approximately 40 students enrolled in the Preschool class. Computers and Technology Each Vista classroom contains a networked computer with internet capabilities. In spring of 2006 we completed our second computer lab.  Each lab is equipped with 30 networked computers and arranged in a classroom design to benefit both the student and the teacher.  Computers are equipped with literacy and mathematics software that relates to the state core curriculum and is also integrated in grade appropriate projects.  A keyboarding program has been adopted for grades 3 - 6.  Vista also has two mini-labs with a total of 21 laptop computers.  Communication between parents and teachers is available via e-mail.  The districts on-line Grade Book is utilized in grades K - 6. Student promotion Students promoted from Vista Elementary attend Eisenhower Junior High School and Taylorsville High School.
