SHELTERED ENGLISH INSTRUCTION:
Based on the District’s Service Plan for English Language Learners, teachers need to differentiate through Sheltered English Instruction for English acquisition and content accessibility. According to research findings by the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL), Center for Research on Education Diversity and Excellence (CREDE) and supported by the U.S. Department of Education, Sheltered English Instruction can make a difference with the academic achievement of English Language Learners.
