School background Olympus Junior High School is located in the east area (Holladay) of Granite School District. The original school was built in the late 1800’s and a new facility was built in 2003. Students living more than two miles from the school are bused to the school. There are currently two buses transporting students to the school. The school has 37 regular classrooms, 2 resource rooms and 2 large group instruction rooms.
Enrollment Current enrollment at Olympus Jr. High is 840 students 89% of the students are Caucasian; 3.7%, Asian; 0.96%, Indian; 3.8%, Hispanic; .84%, Pacific Islander; 1.2% are African American.
Computers and technology Olympus Junior High is integrating technology into all areas of the school program. Every teacher has a computer in their room and there are two “state of the art” computer labs. Our labs allow teachers to broadcast 34 programs from a teacher work station to each work station in the lab. Our goal is to use computers across the curriculum in all departments for all levels of student ability.
