Registration Conducted in the winter. Track letters are sent home. Track requests are returned to the school. Kindergarten registration in February.

School background Construction of Pleasant Green was completed in June 1985. In addition to the main building and relocatable pod, there are five portable units. We have some students who live close enough to walk while others are provided busing. There are twenty-seven teaching stations, three resource rooms, a central Library/Media Center, a Product Development Center, a Computer Lab and a Family Support Center.
Enrollment Pleasant Green Elementary serves approximately
800students from Kindergarten through 6th grade. We have a preschool which is a four day a week program that runs 1/2 days. There are currently 3 sessions of preschool. Approximately 66%, Caucasian; 1.61%, Native American; 1%, Asian; 2.28%, Pacific Islander (Polynesian); 33%, Hispanic; 1.47%, African-American, and 1%, Native American
Computers and Technology The school has two computer labs. One of the labs is run by Title I. The students spend one hour a week in the lab practicing keyboarding skills, and receiving programmed instruction in math and reading. We use YPP math, language arts, CCC, and other tools for
instruction. The other computer lab is in the Product Development Center. This in on the north side of the media center. Students work on school projects and create products in this area. There are also 6 teachers who have mini-labs in their classrooms. These labs are wireless laptop computers which help to facilitate the creation of projects within the classroom setting. There are two lap-top labs available for teacher checkout as well. These labs consist of thirty laptop computers on a cart. All classrooms have at least two computers available with Internet capabilities.
Student promotion Students promoted from this school will attend: Brockbank Junior High and Cyprus High School.
