School background Jackling Elementary is located in the west area of Granite School District. It was built in 1968 to serve the growing population of West Valley City. In order to reach Jackling, turn east on Harman Drive from 4800 West. Travel to Atlas which leads to the school. Enrollment Jackling Elementary serves approximately 680 students from kindergarten through sixth grade and 30 intellectually disabled students. 0.48% American Indian, 2.38% Asian, 1.59% African American, 15.1% Hispanic, 4.39% Pacific Islander and 76.06% Caucasian Computers and Technology Every classroom has a Macintosh Computer such as Power Macs, and iMacs that are in a school network. We also have 2 iMac computer labs. We use our laser disc players and CD-ROMs on a regular basis. Jackling classrooms and lab have Internet access and Ethernet wiring. Student promotion Students promoted from Jackling will attend John F. Kennedy or Hunter Junior High and then Hunter High School.
