Program Description:
A secondary resource for school district schools/sites in the event of a situation involving a student or employee death,/tragedy, etc. Each school/site should have in place a primary "Crisis Team" including administrators, Student Services personnel (counselors, school psychologists or social workers) and others, as appropriate, who are directly assigned to that school/site. The district "Crisis Team" includes various Student Services staff members who may be called to respond to a crisis and provide support under the direction of the school team.

Enrollment/Referral Process:
All requests for response by the District Crisis Team are made by the school/site administrator after consultation with the school/site crisis team and/or district office administrative staff. Crisis calls are made to the Student Services office (646-4660). Maureen James (team coordinator) will then be called to coordinate the district team response. If she cannot be reached, any available staff member (listed above) will coordinate the effort with the requesting school/site.
