Roosevelt Elementary School has been in existence since 1920. The old school was torn down and a new building was constructed in 1970. The Granite Board of Education voted to remodel the school in 2000. The building was transformed from an open classroom style to enclosed classrooms. Enrollment 435 students 8.2% African American 38.04% Hispanic 3.87% Asian 1.14% Pacific Islander 2.28% Native American 46.47% Caucasian Computers and Technology Roosevelt Elementary has two computer labs with up-to-date computers and computer technology. Every student is served by Title I in the YPP lab on a weekly and often twice weekly basis. Teachers have the option of instructing students in an instructional technology lab on an as needed basis. Several teachers have applied for and have been granted wireless mini lap top labs for individual classroom use. Each teacher has several computers in each classroom to facilitate learning through the internet.
