These resources are available to any Granite District employee. Individuals wishing to search for funding sources should contact the Grants Office.
Professional Development:
The Grants Office periodically sponsors professional development on writing grant proposals. Interested teachers or administrators should contact the Grants Office at 646.4268.
Submission of Grant Proposals:
Individuals submitting proposals for competitive state or federal grants are required to contact the Grants Office and complete the “Grants Office Intake Form” a minimum of 10 days prior to the grant deadline date. The 10 day notice is necessary in order for the Grants Office to review the proposal and budget, enter information into their data base, and obtain necessary signatures. Failure to give sufficient notice may result in the grant proposal not being signed.
To ensure that the grant proposal does not violate district guidelines, all competitive state and federal proposals must be signed by either the principal or the district director, the Grants Office, appropriate Assistant Superintendent(s) and Superintendent. The director of the Accounting Department must sign if Granite District will serve as fiscal agent for other agencies or school district. (Accounting director’s signature must be obtained prior to writing the proposal.)
