School motto "A Community of Learners" Extracurricular programs Granger High students are offered a wide range of extracurricular programs ranging from academic clubs, business and vocational clubs, music groups, and drama productions, as well as a wide variety of athletic programs School background Granger High School, which opened in 1958, is located in the Salt Lake Valley, an urban center of over one million people. In 1958, the area around Granger High School was predominantly rural/agricultural in nature. Since that time, the school and surrounding area has undergone dramatic changes stemming from a transition from a rural neighborhood and homogeneous school to a highly mobile, multi-ethnic community and rapidly changing urban educational center. Enrollment Granger High School serves approximately 1,650 students in grades 10-12. Of those students approximately: 48% are Caucasian 33% are Hispanic 6% are Asian 9% are Pacific Islander 2% are Native American 2% are African-American Computers and Technology The school has 7 computer labs plus 8 mini labs available for students and staff. Working with the district, state, and business partnerships, Granger is networked and uses the internet, EdNet and UtahLink to enhance student learning through technology.
