Voc Rehab (Vocational Rehabilitation)

Voc Rehab is a federally funded state agency. Clients work with a counselor who will help the individual make an informed decision about the types of services and the level of support that is needed to become vocationally successful.

There are two counselors assigned to serve students of Granite School District. Each counselor serves the schools as assigned.

VR serves people who have a physical or mental disability, who have difficulty getting or keeping a job, and who require VR services.

To apply for VR services:

  • Fill out an application after attending an orientation.
  • Make an appointment to see a counselor at the local VR office.
  • Bring any records or information about your disability to your appointment. For example:
    • school records (especially a copy of your IEP)
    • doctor's records
    • psychologist's records
    • (If you do not have any information, the counselor can arrange for a free evaluation.)

VR counselors may be invited to participate in IEP meetings as part of planning transition for a student.
