ELIGIBILITY
  • Parent/Guardian must have student enrolled in school any time during the initial two-year term
  • Parent/Guardian may not be employed by the school for an average of more than six hours per week in a calendar month
  • Employee must be assigned at the school
  • Principal serves by assignment

REQUIRED MEMBERS*

  • Senior High Schools:
        6 Parent/Guardians, 4 Employees, Principal
  • Junior High/Elementary Schools:
        4 Parent/Guardians, 2 Employees, Principal
    *Membership may be larger as long as parents exceed employees.

ELECTIONS

  • Elections are held during Spring SEP or Parent Teacher Conferences
  • Parents/Guardians elect Parent/Guardian representatives
  • Employees elect employee representatives

TERM OF OFFICE

  • Parents & Employees
    • July 1 - June 30
    • Two year terms
    • May serve three terms (6 years )
  • Principal serves continuously
OFFICERS

  • Chair & Vice-Chair
    • One must be a parent and one must be an employee
  • Elected by entire council to serve one year term
