School background James E. Moss was named after a great statesman and community leader. Moss was originally designed as an open pod school and was completely remodeled in 2002 to provide enclosed classrooms. Most of the students are within walking distance to the school. There is one bus route. Enrollment Moss Elementary serves approximately 535 students in grades K-6. One is designed to run the YPP and Successmaker educational programs. The other lab is set up for individual and classroom student projects. Several teachers have student mini labs.
