Paws to Read
Students at Scott M. Matheson Junior High School
have accepted the challenge to read at least 5,000 books during the school year
– and if they reach that goal, they will strive for 10,000. Readers will also
include teachers, administrators, secretaries, aides, and custodians. The theme
is the reading effort is “Paws to Read.” Each time a book is completed, the
reader fills out a Tiger paw and places it on a display at the school library.
Five hundred books were completed during the first two weeks of Paws to Read.
