Bridge gap with the public
Early last fall, the Granite District Board of Education met in a series of
public study sessions to focus on improving communication with and
responsiveness to its various constituencies. The "What Counts" meetings
recently held in the high schools were the first action step in our plan to do
better in that arena. The responses to the many questions and comments voiced by
patrons in those meetings are now available online to anyone for the purpose of
providing helpful information and dispelling rumors and incorrect public
perceptions about Granite District.
Additionally, the Granite District Board of Education is planning for the
future. With an interest in increasing communication opportunities and expanding
partnerships and collaboration, the board looks forward to continuing to educate
and involve its public in efforts to better educate students in Granite School
District.
