New STEM school will feature a different approach to learning
The site at 5194 W. Highbury Parkway probably doesn’t look like much now, but that will all change come August.
While the new elementary school has yet to be named, it’s proudly carrying the banner of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) as a hint of how the school will function. This doesn’t mean that the school will teach a different curriculum; rather it is the use of technology and project-based techniques that will result in a different approach to learning.
