Emily Jewkes is a Kindergarten teacher at Academy Park Elementary in West Valley City. In this spotlight, Miss Jewkes demonstrates how she and her fellow Kindergaren teachers collaborate in creating common formative assessments using the Quizizz web app. Students take the quizzes using classroom iPads and receive immediate feedback, while the teachers receive immediate quiz results. The class then reviews the information and results together at the interactive whiteboard. We thank Miss Jewkes for sharing her process in using this great learning tool with us.

That is amazing! I love the whole idea of having everyone on the floor! Just think of how smart those students will be and and much more ready and learning! That is one over top smart group of Kindergarten teachers and one amazing STS for helping them with their I pads and teaching them the program.

Congratulations Miss Jewkes Well deserve spotlight! What a wonderful teaching concept and method. Your students seem to be more active and alert to learning. Times are different from back in the days, from pushing a pen and paper. hahaha… Hope other elementary schools, kindergarten teachers and preschool instructors follow your lead. Children these days are more fast on learning from a laptop, iPad even from a cell phone. Best wishes to you and your students this school year.
