Albert Einstein made a profound observation when he said, “Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted counts.”

In the spirit of thanksgiving, tinsel and gifts, may we take time to reflect on our favorable surroundings here in the Bennion community.  Throughout the world we can daily read, see, or hear of countries wherein children are in harm’s way, either through warring political or religious factions, underdevelopment, or through forces of nature – many children are not being protected or nurtured as we would desire for our own children.  As we go about our involvement with this season’s chores, may we appreciate the comforts that may go unnoticed most of the year.

This community continuously demonstrates the opportunity to serve others.  Your sharing hearts do not go unnoticed.

So, as winter descends, like it or not, we will all need to endure the next several cold, snowy months.  Throughout the year each of us has read the license plates printed with “The Greatest Snow On Earth.”  A great slogan until it snows in the valley.

                              The snowflakes remind us of those things most fragile
                                     Love, friendship, dreams, life.
                              Every one different and special.
                              Give yourself the chance to enjoy all
                                    This wonderful holiday season
                                    And in the New Year ahead.
