COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING
OCTOBER 14, 2009

MEMBERS FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR: Walter Layton, Mrs. Andrews, Mrs. Jones, Carrie Clark, Craig Ferrin,
Holly Gibson and Kristy Madsen.

VISITORS IN ATTENDANCE: None were present.
AGENDA ITEMS:
ELECTIONS FOR CHAIRPERSON AND VICE CHAIRPERSON:
Chairperson for 2009-2010 school years – Carrie Clark
Vice-Chairperson for 2009-2001 school years– Mrs. Andrews
Secretary for 2009-2010 school years – Kristy Madsen
2009-2010 SCC HAND BOOK:
Verified that all in attendance had received the required training and required handbook for SCC members.
SSAP 2009-2010:
The progress report of the SSAP is due on November 20th. We will review any changes that need to be made at the next SCC meeting. The final progress report will be made available on the Bennion Elementary website for the patrons of this school.
TRUSTLANDS:
A copy of the budget was distributed to the members of the council. The proposed budget was
Approved by the council.
The budget includes funds for Friday School, Maintaining the School Home Page, YPP/Acuity, Translation Time, OCR service pattern, and an allotment to reserve 10-20% for 2010-2011 school year.
MEETING SCHEDULE:
The community council meetings are open to the public. All visitors will be welcomed.
The meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:15 PM in the school library. With the exception of the November Meeting which will be held on the 3rd Wednesday.
NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting will be held November 18th at 3:15 PM in the school library.
