COMPUTER AND ENGLISH
CLASSES FOR SPANISH SPEAKING ADULTS - Copper
Hills Elementary will be having classes for adults who
want help in learning to speak
English and use the computers. The class will be held Monday - Thursday from
3:00 -
5:00 p.m. We will
be having an introduction presentation on Friday, October 23, 2009 at
1:15 for those who are interested in coming to the
class. If you have children and need
childcare, we will have a school employee here at the
school that will tend them.
NO PARTIES DURING
SCHOOL TIME - Everything we do at school focuses on student
learning. Therefore we will not be doing any Halloween
activities during school time.
The PTA has scheduled a Halloween parade to be held after
school on Thursday,
October 29th at 1:30 p.m. School will not be in session on Friday. Thank you for your
help in this matter.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY
- Friday, October 30, 2009 is another
Professional
Development Day for teachers and there is no school for students.
Please
make sure that you keep your students home on this day.
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS - On November 1, 2009 Daylight Savings ends
and
we will need to turn our clocks back one hour.
BOX TOPS - Please send
your Box Tops to school for this segment of the classroom
competition. The
deadline is November 2nd.
QUARTERLY FOOD ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MEETING
- These meetings are open to
the
community and so anyone is welcome and encouraged to come and participate.
This
is a great opportunity to share with the food services department any concerns
or
issues
that you may have regarding the food service meal program. Your feedback will
be
appreciated and addresses. The next
meeting will be held on Tuesday, November
3,
2009. All meetings will be held at 4:00 p.m. at
the central kitchen located at
3180
South 340 West.
MAGNA COMMUNITY HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY! - The Magna
Arts
council is sponsoring this dance party for the community on Friday, October
30th
from 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. at 7731 West 3500 South (Magna Utah South Stake
Center). There well be Jack-O-Lantern carving and
Costume Contests, also Live
Music
and Dancing.
