30, 2010 When another great day in Mrs. Miller’s class started off I was ready for a new day at school. Everyone hung up their backpacks and started working on their daily cursive assignment. When 9:00 rolled around we separated into our reading classes. We all had a chance to finish our Daily Language, and then off the people that did music went. In orchestra I had a great time playing some rhythms from my songbook. After music I returned to Ms. Stott’s reading class. We had a spelling test. I thought it was too easy! Shh! Don’t tell Ms. Stott! After the test, we went outside for recess. I played a fun game of basketball. After the bell rang and we all went inside, wishing we could play more, we separated once again into our math classes. In Mrs. Miller’s math class we had ADD and a test that Mrs. Miller had made up herself. I got everything finished and had no math homework. Yay! When 12:15 came again, we all went down to lunch. I had cold lunch. Then we went out for the longest recess of the day. I played basketball, again. When recess ended, we did some fun things in science. We studied mimicry and camouflage. After our science unit we all filed out of the classroom and played outside for recess. At recess I played basketball for the third recess in a row that day. When the last bell of the day rang, we went inside and gleefully found out that our assignment would be simply to color in a butterfly and camouflage it as best we could. We had to try to find all the other team’s butterflies that were camouflaged in the room. Sadly, mine was the second butterfly found. I’ll admit mine was pretty poorly camouflaged. When all the butterflies had been collected, we packed up our backpacks and headed out the door. Wasn’t that an exciting day in our own room 18? |
