When school started, we all came inside, sat down, and worked on our Thursday/Friday handwriting. When it was time to go to reading we stopped our writing and went to our separate classes.

In my reading class we were given a self –start to work on. Ms. Stott then read us a story about Paul Revere. I learned a lot about him. Afterwards we were excused to go to music. My music teacher is Ms. Cheney. She taught us some new notes on the violin. After music we went back to reading and finished our work. Luckily, I had already completed my assignment so I was able to read my book,

The Hunger Games, silently. When the time was up, Ms. Stott said, “Class, you may line up and go to recess now.”

During recess I played soccer with Joseph, Zane, and a lot of other people. Sadly, the bell rang and it was already time to go back in.

When we went back in, we gathered our math supplies and went to our math classes. I carried my pencil and planner, walked to Mrs. Hollingworth’s classroom, and sat down. She gave us a test. After we finished, I was able to be one of the lunch servers. My job was to wipe the salad bar down.

Finally, after everyone had finished lunch, I was able to go to recess. I played soccer once again. When the bell rang we promptly went inside. Mrs. Miller then passed out our Science tests on heredity. I was happy to see that it was easier than I thought it would be. I hope I got a good score because I had constantly studied for it for the past week.

The test took quite a long time to take. Before Mrs. Miller did her Watchdog News she gave us an assignment about traits of animals to work on. I chose to do turtles and tigers. Once it was time for recess, we all went outside. It was a cold day for recess. I played soccer again in order to keep warm. Following recess we worked on our animal trait assignment.

When it was time to go home, Mrs. Miller told us to get all of our instruments and not to forget any of our papers. Then we all waited in line for the bell to ring. When the bell rang we all left with enthusiasm to get home.

What another exciting day in Mrs. Miller’s 5th grade classroom.
