What
Good Readers Do
Good readers are "strategic" readers. A good reader interacts
with the story he is reading. He predicts what will happen, questions
and wonders why events are happening, summarizes the events in the
story, and clarifies parts of the story which don't make sense.
When a good reader comes to a word he doesn't know, he has many
strategies he can use to figure out the unknown word.

start off the school year, we will be diving into our Imagine It!
reading book. The first theme is called Heritage.
We will read stories to learn about heritage. Some of the questions
we will ponders are: How do you define heritage? How do others define
heritage? How does heritage affect who you are? What types of things
are passed down from generation to generation?
