The Utah PTA faces several important issues this year including:
1.  Support for Public Schools - Oppose Vouchers
2.  Remove the cap from the School Lund Trust Program
3.  Return candidate selection for State Board of Education back to local nomination
4.  Class size

If you are a supporter of the Children's museum, they also need your help with the legislature.  There was money in the budget to help move the museum to the Gateway; however, it was cut out of the last budget.  Please!  Please! Contact your local legislature, house reps, senate and your governor.

Second Hot Topic

It is that time of the year again (hard to believe) but we are looking for volunteers to fill the different positions for the PTA board.  You can click on the different PTA programs and get a description of our programs.  Look and see which program you would like to be involved with, and then call or email one of this year's officers.  We have outstanding programs with the PTA and to keep these running - we need volunteers.  Your children love having you involved and this also lets your children know how important school is in life.  If you are interested in serving as an officer or commissioner, we would love to have your volunteer.
