A MESSAGE FROM Mr. Cooper -- August 25, 2005 Our Home Page is Almost Current -- Thank you for visiting Fremont's Home Page. It has been a struggle to update our page this year due to technical problems and changes in district policy. Some pieces are still missing, but I hope to have those working soon. Thank you for your patience. No Child Left Behind -- New federal and state legislation requires every school to show improved achievement levels for all students. The faculty and Community Council of Fremont have examined our achievement data and determined strategies for improvement. We have developed a plan to improve student achievement and increase the skills and knowledge of our teachers. Our test scores have shown improvement every year for the past 4 years, and we are pleased with the progress. Many Ways to Help -- Ensuring that every child learns is a responsibility large enough for our whole community. There are many ways to help, including: volunteer tutoring, working with the PTA, serving on Community Council, or even lobbying your legislator to adequately fund education. |
