Gourley Elementary is a “Reading First” school. It is our objective to have every child reading on level. We will encourage teachers, students, and parents to do all they can to meet the learning needs of every child.

The educational environment and teaching strategies are designed to meet the goals and objectives of a strong curriculum. To this end, the faculty and staff of Gourley Elementary pledge themselves to make every opportunity available for the students to be successful each day..
