COMMUNITY COUNCIL MINUTES
MARCH 23, 2009
 

• We welcomed everyone to Community Council meeting. Those in attendance were: Teri Tillotson, Laurie Lafevor, Juan Reyes, Yvonne Pearson, and Ramona Barela.
• Ramona Barela read the minutes from last meeting on January 26, 2009.
  We spoke about the upcoming new District Community Council meeting and what would occur at these meetings. We nominated Ramona Barela to run for this council.
• Teri Tillotson showed the forms for Huntsman Awards for Excellence in Education.  Parents, teachers, faculty etc. can be nominated for this award. Forms are due by April 2nd.
• Yvonne Pearson reported on the 2008-2009 trustlands plan, and we prepared the 2009-2010 plan. We also mentioned how we will have no QTSA funds for next year, but will still have trustland funding.
• We also mentioned about upcoming meetings for parents of special needs children in Granite School District: March 26th Taylorsville High 7pm, April 1st Jones Center 7pm, April 7th Utah Parent Center 7pm.
• Next meeting in April 27th 4:15pm.
