Ms. Tanner

We have three self-contained classrooms for children with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Mainstream activites are enjoyed with our friends in the regular classrooms.

Mrs. Ruff is our 1st and 2nd grade teacher. Her classroom focus is on self help skills such as toileting, dressing etc. They work on social skills and getting along with others. Language and communication is integrated throughout the day. The children learn calendar concepts, choice making, names and functions of common objects and personal information.

Mrs. Tanner is our 3rd and 4th grade teacher Her emphasis is on language and communication, which is woven throughout all the other academic and enrichment activities. Art and music are favorite activities. Social Studies and Science are taken from the core curriculum and adapted to the needs of her students.

Miss Ralph is our 5th and 6th grade teacher. Miss Ralph is loves working with your kids. She is great! The classroom focus is on language development. She uses literature to build interaction and expressive language skills. Behavior goals are based on individual needs.
