2nd Grade Cub Award Requirements - Complete 10 of 17 items.

1. Have 95% attendance - no more than eight absences.
2. Explain why families, schools and communities have rules.
3. Maintain good citizenship - no white slips.
4. Score 20 or higher on YPP language arts test.
5. Excellent participation in 2nd grade program.
6. Score 20 or higher on YPP math test.
7. Write 5 original stories and present one to the class.
8. Read 200 high frequency words in 3 minutes.
9. Write numbers 0-1000.
10. Use the symbols "greater than", "less than" and "equal to" correctly.
11. Determine the value of any 5 coins up to a dollar.
12. Earn 80% on spelling tests 5 or more times.
13. Complete 10 or more AR tests with 80% or higher.
14. Complete a science fair project at home.
15. Read 90 words per minute on DIBELS fluency test.
16. Participation in Music, Art and P.E.
17. Name 3 school wide expectations.
