I moved back to Salt Lake from St. George, and boy do I miss those red-rock hikes, wearing sandals year-round and swimming almost all year (minus about 2 months). It's great to be teaching 2nd grade. Science and writing are my favorite subjects to teach, but American History holds a special place in my heart. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern Utah University. While living in Cedar City I was able to let the Shakespearean geek inside me come to full bloom. Currently I am working on my Masters Degree in Education (so my class knows they can't complain about homework, because I have to grade theirs and do my own). I love to travel, but there is only one problem; I love to sleep in my own bed. Hmmm...maybe you can help me think of a solution to that dilemma, huh?

I am from Salt Lake City, and come from a family of school teachers. I am married to a teacher and we have six grown children who are all married with families of their own. I am happy to be back in the classroom again after working as Extended Day Coordinator and Reading Specialist at Oquirrh Hills for the last several years. I enjoy teaching and being with children. I believe every child can learn. I am glad to be a part of the Oquirrh Hills Community, to work with such an outstanding and caring staff, and be involved with parents and children in a caring community.
