Childhood Memory: Sitting on an upturned bucket in my Dad's garden picking and eating peas in the early morning and feeling that life couldn't possibly be any better.

This is my 20th year of teaching. I have taught sixth grade, third, grade, computer lab, and have been assistant administrator three years in the Davis County School District at coincidentally, Orchard Elementary!

I have four children and nine grandchildren. I raised my kids as a single mom and I sympathize with and admire single parents!

I value hard work, compassion, communication, frugality, gratitude, faith, patience, and the power of love.

My goals for the year are to help each child in my classroom feel smart, capable, and valued. I will adhere strictly to the core curriculum and do my best to help each child learn as much as they are capable of learning. I will spend time each week teaching communication skills and social skills as well, because book knowledge is only part of a well-rounded education. I am excited to be part of the Granite School District and I am having a great experience teaching 4th grade for the first time. Each child and each classroom is a new beginning to both teach and be taught.
