School Play

Rosecrest Elementary has a tradition of performing a play every spring.  Generally the parts are open to 4th through 6th graders. There is also an opportunity for students to help as ‘Stage Crew’ members.

Auditions are held in January with the cast set by the end of January.  Practices start for some parts in February, and others in March.  The play is performed on 3 evenings in April with one performance for the student body during the school day.

The school play for 2011-2012 is to be announced. Last year's play Annie Jr. even had a write up in the paper. Some of the past plays have been; Charlie Brown, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonnderland, Aladin, The Wizard of Oz, and Mary Poppins.
