Welcome

Science Fair

The school science fair is held in February.  We want to encourage student’s interest in science.  Science fairs give students the opportunity to study a topic that interests them. Projects can be as varied as your students’ interests, such as sports, music art, rocketry, psychology, and computers. Through their projects, students will discover that science is found in every niche of the universe.

Grades K – 4 participate in a ‘Show Case’ and may move on to the district ‘Show Case’.  5th and 6th projects will be judged and up to four move on to the district science fair in March.

Science fair information packets are available in the office in January.  The projects are based upon the ‘Scientific Method’.

The Scientific Method

  1. Research
  2. Identify A Problem
  3. Ask An Appropriate Question
  4. Develop A Hypothesis
  5. Conduct An Experiment
  6. Keep A Record
  7. Analyze The Results
  8. Draw A Conclusion
