Avoid Tickets – Know the Laws!
Did you know crossing over a double yellow line could result in a traffic citation?
In order to better protect your child’s safety we will begin enforcing this law on 2200 West with the help the City of Taylorsville Police Department. Please be aware that u-turns and parking the wrong way on the street are offenses which could result in a traffic citation. To help avoid these situations please look at trying the following:
- Use the drop-off and pick-up lanes through the north parking lot
- To turn around on 2200 West enter the parking lot “thru lane” and turn left on the first row to get to the exit. This creates a safe and legal left turn.
- Walk your child to school. Walking is an excellent way to decrease the number of cars and increase the health benefits. Teach your children to be aware of their surroundings, look drivers in the eye while crossing the street and wear bright colors so drivers can see them.
