Computers and Technology

Valley Crest has a part time School Technology Specialist (STS).  The STS provides additional assistance to teachers and students with the integration of core curriculum and technology.  In addition to our instructional lab, Valley Crest has a computer testing lab where students participate weekly in
Yearly Progress Pro (YPP), an online formative assessment, providing immediate feedback to students and teachers.  Valley Crest also uses its two computer labs for end of the year online Criteria Reference Testing (CRT) in 3rd to 6th grades.  Students and teachers have computers with internet access in each classroom.  The teacher’s computer is linked to installed classroom projectors where students are able to view the teacher’s computer monitor on a large classroom screen.  All classrooms have enhanced microphone systems, enabling teachers to utilize technology in teaching.
