"Vista's Involved Patrons"

The name of our parent group is known by the acronym, "V.I.P.'s".

Parental involvement in a supportive parent group has been a strong tradition at Vista. Parents provide help by way of volunterrism, fund raising, and concern for Vista's well being. For many years our parent organization was associated with the P.T.A. In the year 2001, we voted to disband our P.T.A. and form our own parent group not associated with any national parent/teacher organization. We continue with a strong volunteer force of parents, grandparents, and staff members. The goal of our organization is to aid in the enrichment and well being of the students that attend our school. We are involved in providing enrichment programs in the arts, increasing teaching aids and supplies for the teahcers, providing fun and meaningful field trips and assemblies, and increasing awareness of health and safety issues for all of the students. It is the desire of members of the V.I.P.'s to act in the best interests of the children who attend Vista. For this reason, we choose to run our own non-profit parent group. All funds raised by the V.I.P.'s stay at Vista.
