Western Hills Elementary, a Title I school, is required to show adequate student improvement from year to year.
Our school focus areas are literacy and numeracy. The morning three-hour block comprises of reading with direct instruction, small group instruction with teacher and specialist, literacy centers, and writing instruction. One hour and a half of math instruction is a daily requirement.
Yearly Progress Pro tests student mastery of skills in the lab, and CCC provides students practice in learning and mastering skills in reading and math.
Examine your student's performance on the CRTs last year, and work with your teacher to increase student achievement.
