June 1st was the day students got their payment for meeting the school wide Ken Garff reading goal. Our fearless leader promised students she would read on the roof of the school during the morning hours and then allow herself to be duct taped to the wall during lunch. Throught the year our Falcons read a total of 2,698,671 minutes, surpassing our school's goal of 2,400,000. And so, it was Mrs. Giles turn to keep her promises.

As seen in these photos, Mrs. Giles read on the roof of the school and waved to students out at recess. During lunch, she stood still while every child (and staff member) who wished to duct tape her to the wall was given a chance.
Way to go Falcons! Keep reading this summer! |
