What's Happening...
During the summer and into the next school year our school will be undergoing some construction. Please watch for hand outs containing updates and important information including a change in drop off and pick up procedures.

School Background
Whittier Elementary was first built on this site in 1903. In January 2001 the old building was replaced with our new building. We serve approximately 760 students from Kindergarten through 6th Grade.

Technology is important at Whittier. We have two computer labs. Students play educational games, take tests, create Power Point presentations, and learn to research information through the power of technology.

Extracurricular programs
Band and orchestra classes are offered to fifth and sixth grade students Monday and Wednesday. Students perform for classmates and parents during the school year.

Our S.O.A.R. program (Student Opportunities to Achieve Recognition) offer a variety of before and afterschool programs including Homework Help, chess, computer classes, photography, art, drama, choir, Imagine Learning, Math Olympiads, soccer, basketball, tumbling, and dance.

Mill Hollow is offered in the summer to fourth through sixth grades.
