And speaking of reading... Earlier in the year Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz visited our school. During his visit he autographed a basketball that will be given to this year's top reader! And as an added bonus, the top reader will get to meet the team! So keep those reading minutes coming in!
School Community Councils are elected parent/guardian and employee representatives who work together with the Principal to increase student achievement. By law, the Council is responsible to review school data and develop plans for school improvement. Councils also allocate the LAND Trust funds to assist the school in reaching achievement goals. Declare your candidacy for Whittier's Community
Council by picking up and submitting a Declaration form to the office
before February 2, 2010. |
