Student Opportunities for Achieving Recognition
We are pleased to announce a new after-hours enrichment program here at Whittier Elementary. Class sessions and clinics will be offered in reading, math, communication, sports, and the arts. This is an amazing opportunity and we hope you will sign your students up for a class or two. Please read the program information carefully.
Our goal is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for our students. Our staff consists of teachers, faculty, and community members who are knowledgeable in the subject area and who wish to share their knowledge.
Registration is required for every class. Space is limited and classes fill up quickly.
Please note that all early release days will have the Friday/Early Release schedule regardless of what day it is. Normal classes will not be held on early release days.
There will be a snack served directly after school and before the first session on Monday - Thursday. There is no snack served on early release days.
- Homework Helper students need to bring homework! If the student does not have homework, make sure they bring a book.
- Students may not wait around in the halls for their class to start. If they are in the building or on school grounds they need to be in a class. This includes siblings.
- There are no exceptions on age limites for classes.
We are currently looking for individuals to teach Debate and Future Problem Solving. For more inforation, please contact Judy Giles.
