Special education services are provided for all students with disabilities.

John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892)

John Greenleaf Whittier was an American poet. His parents were Quaker  farmers. Whittier's poetry shows the influence of his Quaker religion, and his rural New England background. He was active in the anti-slavery movement  from 1833 to 1863.

John Greenleaf Whittier

The Barefoot Boy

Blessings on thee, little man.

Barefoot boy, with cheeks of tan.

With thy turned-up pantaloons,

And thy merry whistled tunes...

From my heart I give thee joy,

I was once a barefoot boy!...

Flowers in Winter

How strange to greet, this frosty morn,

In graceful counterfeit of flowers,

These children of the meadows, born of

Flowers and of showers!...
