2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR
We are already making plans for next year! Woodstock teachers and I will begin the class placement process soon. If there is anything you feel I should know about your child’s classroom needs before this process begins, please write to me by the last Friday in April (4/25/08). COMMUNITY COUNCIL POSITIONS
As we did not have any declared candidates for Community Council for 2008-2009, the parent members of our council are responsible for filling the two vacancies. If you would be willing to serve, please let us know!

LAND TRUST PROJECTS
The Woodstock Community Council would like to thank the Legislature for the "Trustlands" funding that our school receives. This grant has made possible the purchase of 0.5 of a teacher (2 months only), Great Leaps Tutoring, Teacher participation in Registration Celebration, Data & Collaboration meetings with Teachers, a spring reading tutor for Third Grade, and the purchase of Math Manipulatives. We are grateful for the support that Trustlands funding provides and hope it will continue long into the future!

CRTs
Students in grades 2-6 will take the Criterion Referenced Tests from April 28th to May 9, 2008. There are a number of things you can do to maximize your child's success on the CRTs. Help your child:
Get a good night's sleep (8+ hours)
Eat a good breakfast
Bring a mid-morning snack
Receive a loving send-off each morning with encouragement to do his/her best.
