Credit Make-Up

Cottonwood Afternoon School

English, Math, Science, and Social Studies courses are offered during second, third and fourth term. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 2:20 - 3:35, and 3:40 - 4:55 p.m. For each .25 credit students must complete nine weeks of course work, attend a minimum of 8 full class periods, and pay a $10.00 fee.

Community Education - Summer and Night School

Counselors may approve specific subjects that were failed for make up credit through summer school, night school or home study. 24 class hours or equivalent work is required for .25 credit, fee is $55.00, 36 hours or equivalent work is required for .50 credit, fee is $78.00. Students are required to complete 36 hours or equivalent work for each .25 credit for new credit for enrichment or early graduation, fee is $78.00

Central High Individualized Study

Counselors may approve specific subjects that were failed for make-up credit. Appointments are made once each term. The cost is $45 per .25 credit. Attendance of one hour per week is required. Students with more than two absences per term will be dropped. Homework and tests must have a score of 80% or better for credit to be awarded. Work must be completed in the quarter during which the student is registered.

BYU Independent Study

Counselors may approve credit from BYU Independent Study. Register for classes by phone, mail or over the World Wide Web. Course lists are available in the Counseling Center & Career Center.

Electronic High School

Counselors may approve credit through the Electronic High School. Enrollment is open entry/open exit.

All outside credits must be approved by the high school counselor and be a part of students' SEOP. Please see your counselor before registering for any outside course. NCAA will not accept make-up credit from all sources.
