Sophomores
- Set Goals |
An orientation
is held for all 10th grade students before the beginning of each
school year to introduce sophomores to the school, high school
expectations, and general information. Students are introduced
to Choices during a small group meeting with the Career Counselor
through the Computer Technology class. All sophomores take an
interest inventory and write a research paper on a career of their
choice through English classes. Parents and students are scheduled
for an individual SEOP meeting with their counselor to review
their SEOP during November and December

| Juniors

All
11th grade students meet with the Career Counselor during small
group meetings held through American History classes third term.
The presentation includes employment trends, job readiness, and
technology training. Each student uses Choices to complete a scholarship
and post secondary school search. Students and parents are scheduled
for an individual SEOP appointment with their counselor during
February and March to review the students' progress toward graduation
and complete registration for the senior year.

| Seniors
- Apply |
| All 12th grade
students complete the SEOP process during a group meeting held in
the fall. This meeting includes post secondary school application
information, college deadlines, essays, financial aid, scholarships,
recommendations, transcripts, resume writing, interviewing, and
job search. Graduation credits and credit make-up options are reviewed.
Portfolios are completed through English classes. Students and parents
are scheduled for an individual meeting with their counselor during
September and October. |
