Concurrent Enrollment:

Each of the photography courses is available for college credit through Salt Lake Community College. Ask your instructor for an application. You must complete and return your application within the first three weeks of a new semester. Concurrent Enrollment can save you hundreds of dollars on tuition. In addition, credits earned through the concurrent enrollment program are transferable to any state college or university.

Academic Grading:

Completed assignments will be evaluated on daily effort, creativity, craftsmanship, and consistency with assigned guidelines.

Citizenship Policy:

Granite District policy is enforced including absences and tardies. A tardy can be excused only by bringing in a signed note from an administrator or teacher. If the student does not have an excused note or are more than 20 minutes late, they will be marked absent.

Absence Make-up:

Due to the specialized equipment and individual instruction of art, all students must make-up any absences by attending after school art studio. See instructor for specific days and times. Each full session will make-up one absence.

Student Responsibilities:

Be on time and prepared.
Participate
Complete all assignments.
Clean up work area.
Think, see do, discover, imagine, create, live.

Parent Responsibilities:

Encourage your student to attend class, complete and grade assignments, and bring completed work home.
Praise your student for the quality work produced.
Encourage your student to participate in the various art shows.
Ensure your student's materials and concurrent enrollment fees are paid in a timely manner.

Excellent Quality	= A =	Above and beyond the assignment-excellent effort
Good Quality	= B =	Beyond the assignment-good effort
Acceptable Quality	= C =	Complete the assignment-acceptable effort
Poor Quality	= D =	Doesn't meet full requirements of the assignment-poor effort
Unacceptable Quality	= F =	Failure to complete the assignment-unacceptable effort
