Jeremy Brooks - Teacher

Jeremy Brooks grew up and graduated high school in Oregon.  He has one brother (twin) who is a teacher in Davis School District and a scout for West Minster’s basketball team.
 
Jeremy received his BA from UVSC and will graduate with a Masters in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport at the University of Utah in December 2007.  Jeremy has always had a passion for sports, especially basketball.  He’s coached basketball at both Millcreek Junior High and here at Cyprus.
 
Jeremy was married in Los Angeles on October 30, 2004 to Julia Hugie. Together they have an 3 year old girl named Makena and a 1 year old named Kaden.  
 
Jeremy is the DECA advisor at Cyprus and has seen his students have unprecedented success this last year.  Cyprus was named DECA chapter of the year for the state of Utah and had multiple students become state champions in their events.  Jeremy had the pleasure of taking 4 students to a conference in Florida last year as well at 3 students to Nationals in California.  When they weren’t competing or attending conferences they were going to Disneyland, Disneyworld, Universal Studios, an LA Dodger game, watching the Blue Man Group in concert and relaxing on the beach.   Jeremy has had a lot of fun with the group and is looking forward to another fun and successful year.
