Sonnaly Khouanphet - College Access Adviser

Sa-bai-dee or Hello! Sonnaly Khouanphet graduated from Granite High School in 2004 and began her college education at Salt Lake Community College for her Associates degree. After finishing her Associates degree, she transferred to the University of Utah where she double majored in Human Development & Family Studies and Consumer & Community Studies. Sonnaly graduated from the University of Utah in May 2008 and is now a College Access Adviser at Cyprus High School. She is a member of the Utah College Advising Corps team, funded by a $1 million grant from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and member of the National College Advising Corps. Growing up, her parents stressed the importance of college but never knew how to guide her through the process. Sonnaly is really excited to be here this year to provide the guidance, support, encouragement and information about college options to the students of Cyprus High School.
