La Ron Unck - Teacher

La Ron Unck grew up in Ogden , Utah and graduated from Ogden High. La Ron attended Weber State on a baseball scholarship. After his freshman year, Weber State dropped their baseball program so La Ron transferred to Southern Utah University where he played baseball and graduated. LaRon played one year of minor league baseball after graduating from college. His first year of teaching was at Cottonwood High where he coached football. La Ron came to Cyprus High as an English teacher in 1980. He was also hired to be the head baseball coach and an assistant in football. La Ron coached football for 16 years and baseball 10. La Ron is currently Cyprus High's golf coach. La Ron is married and has three children, Nathan, Christine, and Gina. He loves to golf and work around his home in his spare time.
