Amanda Watson - Teacher

A self-proclaimed book nerd, Miss Watson's interested are wide and full of variety. She likes to read everything from Shakespeare to Science Fiction.  Her favorite reads are modern Native American literature and anything that can suprise her.

But she doesn't stop at reading.  Miss Watson loves to paint and create art. She also loves to participate in theatre and choir. She even has a night job this year with Utah Career College teaching--you guessed it--English!

Miss Watson is Montana through and through.  She graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in both English Literature and English Creative Writing.  Her favorite classes were Montana Lit and Native American Poetry.

Later she went on to recieve a Master's degree from the University of Great Falls, in Great Falls Montana. Her Master's thesis was on using local (Montana) literature in the classroom.

Miss Watson hopes to obtain a PhD someday and plans to research the Myth and Literature of the American West for her thesis.

She has lived in Utah since August of 2007, but will always think of herself as being from Montana.
